Each day the menu is defined by the blackboard specials to assure the freshest ingredients! As you enter the restaurant, you will see the pasta machine where you will realize that pasta was made fresh that day. The Lobster Raviolis are hand stuffed into just such pasta and served with a roasted red pepper sauce. The Bolognase Lasagna is made with a Bechemel sauce, as opposed to a Ricotta, and is out of this world. The Ragu is a stock reduction for a minimum of 2 hours and has 4 different meats plus fresh herbs and Italian Parsley. The Lamb Florentine is highlighted with a stock wine reduction and toasted rosemary and herbs. Each day you will find poultry, beef, veal, shellfish, fish, soups and salads. Our Via Emilia is located in Mobile just west of University Blvd on Old Shell Road and across the street from the University of South Alabama. The building is an un-pretentious small house highlighted by a beautiful Koi pond, intimate and comfortable outdoor patio, and indoor dining that gives you that warm home feeling.
